Welcome to the ENMAX & Calgary Zoo Osprey Camera. For over 17 years, osprey have been returning to build a summer home on a platform constructed at the east end of St. George's Island and we are happy to provide you with a glimpse into this majestic bird's life.
Please keep in mind that the camera is to observe these wild birds in their natural environment. Once the birds have arrived, ENMAX and the Calgary Zoo will only interact with the birds or their nest in rare circumstances if deemed necessary.
Expected Osprey Activity:
Early April - Ospreys return to Calgary and select nesting sites
Mid-April - Mating and nest building
Late April - Early May –Egg laying (2-4 eggs)
May - Incubation of eggs
June - Eggs hatch!
July - Feeding and growing
Aug - Fledging (learning to fly)
Sept - Osprey leave for warmer climate!

While we try to very hard to ensure the video feed is available at all times we can only support it during normal business hours. If you are experiencing trouble viewing the video above please email email@example.com and we will use this information to diagnose the issue during normal business hours.
- If you cannot view the video please be patient. If an outage has in fact occured we will troubleshoot the issue during normal working hours and try our best to restore service as soon as possible. Some outages occur due to circumstances outside of our control and service cannot be returned until these situations are corrected by those responsible.
- Please ensure you've got the lastest version of Adobe Flash Player installed on your machine.
- Please ensure that you can view other webpages (ie. www.google.ca).
- At times in during the night it is very difficult to see any movement and the screen may appear completely black. Please check back in the morning when there is more light available for the camera.
