ENMAX Energy invites media representatives to stop by and enjoy a 'Solar Slush' drink and tour the new ENMAX Energy Interpretive Centre as part of the Virgin Festival media tour on Saturday June 21.
The ENMAX Energy Interpretive Centre is a 12’X32’ exhibit designed to provide an interactive display of the latest alternative energy technologies ENMAX is currently testing, and planning on bringing to the marketplace. Equipped with a full kitchen, shower and utility room, the Centre will run solely off of roof-mounted solar panel technology. It has operating kitchen appliances, a shower and a hot water system all heated with solar hot water heating panels, demonstrating the heating capabilities of this technology. In efforts to be as green as possible, the shower and sink system will go through a water recycling system, limiting total water consumption.
In addition, a combined heat and power unit that ENMAX is currently researching and energy-efficient EasyMax homeservices™ products will be on display.
ENMAX hears more and more Albertans asking for simple and economic ways to reduce their environmental footprint. The Centre demonstrates how ENMAX is working to identify the best renewable energy technologies for the Alberta market to make helping the environment and saving money an easy choice for customers.
