ENMAX Provides Update on Acquisition of Cordero Energy Inc. and Extension of Offer until April 29, 2008

ENMAX Acquisition Corp. (the "Offeror"), an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of ENMAX Corporation, today announced that the Offeror is extending the previously announced offer dated March 10, 2008 (the "Offer") to purchase all of the issued and outstanding shares of Cordero Energy Inc. ("Cordero") (TSX: COR) until 4:30 p.m. (MST) on April 29, 2008 for the purpose of acquiring the shares pursuant to the Offer and to provide those Cordero shareholders who have been unavailable to respond with the opportunity to tender their shares.  A notice of extension will be mailed to Cordero's shareholders.

Copies of the notice of extension (in both English and French) have been filed with various securities regulatory authorities in Canada and are available on the SEDAR website (www.SEDAR.com) under Cordero’s profile.
