Media are invited to attend Calgary’s premium safety exhibition which will take place March 4 and 5 at the Calgary Municipal Building.
The Expo will showcase interactive exhibits, workshops and demonstrations for students in grades four to nine and focus on promoting safety at home, at school and at play.
ENMAX Power is proud to host an electrical safety booth which will feature the Hazard Hamlet, power system equipment and linemen safety gear. Members of our Engineers-in-Training program will be present to help students understand the dangers of electricity and promote safe habits. In addition to ENMAX Power, there will be 27 other safety-promoting exhibitors.
This year’s Expo will also feature the World Health Organization (WHO) re-designation of Calgary as an “International Safe Community”, as well as the Jim Gray Safer Calgary Awards.

WHEN: March 4 and 5 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The WHO re-designation and Jim Gray Safer Calgary Awards ceremonies will be held on March 4 from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Calgary Power Reception Hall.
WHERE: Exhibits will be in the Atrium of The City of Calgary Municipal Building, 800 Macleod Trail, S.E. Jim Gray Safer Calgary Awards will be next door in Old City Hall – directional signs will be posted.
