ENMAX hits a high note as one of Best 50 Corporate Citizens in Canada
For Immediate Release
Calgary
23 Jun 2009

In an announcement made by Canadian business magazine, Corporate Knights, ENMAX Corporation has been named as the sixth best Corporate Citizen in Canada.

“This is the first time that ENMAX has been named as part of the best 50 list,” says ENMAX spokesperson, Doris Kaufmann. “Hitting the sixth spot on our first time out is an honour and speaks to our attributes as a great employer, our responsible approach to environmental concerns, and a deep involvement in the communities we serve.”

The ranking methodology used by Corporate Knights includes many factors ranging from the connection a company has to its employees and to the environment. Responsible financial metrics are also evaluated and are more relevant in 2009 than ever before, particularly in the wake of tough economic times.

In its eighth year, this ranking system has helped to set a standard for what it means to be a good corporate citizen in Canada. Corporate Knights defines its member list as companies that fulfill their part of the social contract, while providing innovative solutions to pressing social and environmental challenges of our time.
