ENMAX Energy first introduced its intention to build and operate the Shepard Energy Centre to the public in March 2008. The facility, an 800 megawatt natural gas-fired power generation facility, is proposed to be located on the east side of Calgary just south of Glenmore Trail and approximately 1.8 km east of 84th Street SE. An information session for the Shepard Energy Centre will be held this week to share more details on the project.
ENMAX Energy is committed to community engagement and a comprehensive program has been developed for interested parties to learn about the project and share their comments or concerns. Through information packages, community open houses, and personal meetings, ENMAX Energy looks forward to building long-term relationships with the community, ensuring all questions and concerns are addressed.
