ENMAX Corporation (ENMAX) has appointed Mr. David Halford as its new chief financial officer, effective April 20, 2009.
Mr. Halford brings to ENMAX over 25 years of financial management and strategic planning experience focused on the energy industry, including corporate and project finance. He received his chartered accountant designation in 1987, and holds a B.A. from the University of Western Ontario.
Most recently, Mr. Halford has held the position of Chief Financial Officer of OPTI Canada Inc. from 2007 to 2009 and prior to that he was chief financial officer at BA Energy in Calgary and chief financial officer of Irving Oil, a New Brunswick-based refiner and marketer of petroleum products. Before joining Irving Oil in 1999, Mr. Halford held a variety of senior-level corporate finance and accounting roles including partner in the corporate finance group at Deloitte & Touche LLP in Toronto.
