Media representatives are invited to attend the tenth season opening of “Pond Hockey by ENMAX Energy” on Tuesday, January 13. This fun and exciting grassroots program offers community hockey kids the chance to learn game enhancing skills and to take to the ice with their local heroes in pursuit of their hockey dreams. Community residents, friends and family will share in the experience, drinking hot chocolates and cheering on their community hockey kids as they take on the Calgary Hitmen. ENMAX Energy proudly brings Farley the Fox and players from the Calgary Hitmen and Calgary Hockey Development to Sandstone/MacEwan Community for this community spirit event.
Pond Hockey by ENMAX Energy will visit six communities this season to provide Calgary youth with the opportunity to skate alongside WHL or NHL hockey celebrities. This program continues to play an important role in the development of young hockey players throughout the province and is tangible evidence of ENMAX’s commitment to youth and community pride.
