Media representatives are invited to attend the ninth season opening of "Pond Hockey by ENMAX Energy" on Monday, January 7. This fun and exciting grassroots program offers local community children at the atom level (ages 9 to 10 years) the chance to learn game enhancing skills and to take to the ice with their local heroes in pursuit of their hockey dreams. Woolly Bully (the Red Deer Rebels mascot), players from the Rebels, Alberta Hockey Development and ENMAX representatives will be on at South Hill Kinsmen Community Association as the new season kicks off.
This season, ENMAX Energy Corporation's popular children's hockey program will visit 17 communities throughout Alberta, providing young Alberta hockey players with the opportunity to skate alongside WHL or NHL hockey celebrities.
"Pond Hockey by ENMAX Energy" continues to play an important role in the development of young hockey players throughout the province and is tangible evidence of the Corporation's commitment to youth and community pride. This program is presented in partnership with the Red Deer Rebels, Alberta Hockey Development and Big 105.
