On September 28th 2005, one of ENMAX Energy’s generators broke down.
To replace this power, we sought the cheapest supplies available to meet our customers’ needs.
Alberta generators did not offer to meet all these needs at reasonable prices.
We therefore imported power to cover the remaining shortfall.
We understand one or more of the generators has complained to the Market Surveillance Administrator (MSA).
We believe that what we did on September 28th followed the MSA’s guidance, but we respect their authority and are actively involved in their investigation.
