ENMAX Appoints Executive Vice President of Generation
For Immediate Release
Calgary
11 Dec 2007

ENMAX Corporation is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Dave Rehn as the new Executive Vice President of Generation.  During his 30 years of experience as a senior leader in the US power industry, Mr. Rehn has been directly involved in the design, construction and operation of gas, hydro and coal power plants.

“As ENMAX moves forward with the construction of the District Energy plant for downtown Calgary, the 1200 MW plant we announced in April and the 120 MW peaking plant we announced in October, Dave’s extensive experience in project management and wide-ranging strategic expertise will pay a key role in the implementation of our strategy,” said Gary Holden, President and CEO of ENMAX.  “My own experience in power plant construction tells me how important Dave’s contribution will be.  He's worked in some of the key roles in the US power industry and he’s a very welcome addition to our team.”

Alberta is one of the most exciting places on earth right now,” said Dave Rehn.  “There are great opportunities here, ENMAX has an exciting strategy for the future and I’m looking forward to working with my new colleagues in taking the company forward.”

Mr. Rehn has held senior executive positions in two leading generation companies in the US: Duke Energy and Constellation Energy.  He has also been a director of two energy companies; one producing energy from waste and another focused on biomass.

ENMAX Corporation and its predecessors have provided Albertans with safe and reliable electricity for 100 years. ENMAX provides electricity, natural gas, renewable energy and value-added services to more than 500,000 residential, commercial and industrial customer accounts in Alberta through its subsidiary companies. ENMAX Energy contracts low-cost reliable electricity from the Keephills and Battle River coal-fired plants and meets peak demand through a long term agreement with the natural gas fired Calgary Energy Centre. Through a subsidiary, it is one of Alberta’s largest investors in renewable energy with 50 per cent ownership of the McBride Lake Wind Farm and 100 per cent ownership of the Taber Wind Farm. ENMAX Energy has the largest green power marketing program of its kind in Canada and in 2006, received the Consumer Champion Award for its ground-breaking EasyMax® program.
