ENMAX Energy Secures Peak-Demand Power Supply Through Agreement With Calpine Power LP
For Immediate Release
Calgary, Alberta
14 November 2006

ENMAX Energy Corporation today announced it has received court approval for its 20 year tolling arrangement with Calpine Power L.P. for the full output of the Calgary Energy Centre, located just outside the NE City limits. The Tolling Agreement will commence on January 1, 2007, subject to the satisfaction of certain conditions, one of which was today's court approval.
“This arrangement will help us during peak hours to meet our goal of providing our customers with long-term, competitively priced and secure supplies of electricity”, said Gary Holden, CEO, ENMAX Energy Corporation.  “Under the tolling arrangement, ENMAX Energy will determine the production of electricity at this strategically located plant and this will now enable ENMAX Energy to supply 100% of its customer needs.”

The Calgary Energy Centre is a gas-fired generation plant with a design capacity of 300 MW of electricity.  It can be operated to help meet peak power demands and will provide ENMAX Energy with clean, reliable and flexible capacity.
