ENMAX Will Supply Natural Gas to Edmonton Schools
For Immediate Release
Edmonton
29 Aug 2005

ENMAX Energy Corporation has expanded its natural gas market by securing a one-year contract with the Edmonton Public Schools to supply 1.1 million gigajoule to 224 school district sites.

“We are pleased to be the choice of the Edmonton Public Schools,” said Gary Holden, ENMAX President and Chief Executive Officer.  “Our efforts at building our natural gas customer base are exceeding our expectations, and we have plans that will help ENMAX bring excellent energy prices to Edmonton customers.”

“ENMAX has products and services that are a great fit for the way Edmonton Public Schools chooses to manage the procurement of natural gas,” said Dean Willows, Edmonton Public Schools Energy Coordinator.

ENMAX is the electricity market share leader in Alberta, and has been increasing its profile as a natural gas supplier as well.  Last month the company announced it had won a $35 million electricity supply contract for 35 school boards across the province, making ENMAX the supplier of choice for more than half of the schools in Alberta.

ENMAX Corporation is celebrating its 100th year of providing Albertans with safe and reliable electricity. A wholly owned subsidiary of The City of Calgary, ENMAX provides electricity, natural gas, renewable energy and value-added services to more than 435,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers in Alberta through its subsidiary companies. In addition, ENMAX owns 50% of Canada’s largest wind farm and has the first and largest green power marketing program of its kind in Canada. For more information, visit our website at enmax.com.
