ENMAX Corporation, through its wholly owned subsidiary ENMAX Energy, today announced its website is the winner of the e-business of the year award in the Alberta E-Business Leadership Awards competition.
"It's an honour to be chosen by the awards team, particularly for this work, because clear, concise customer communications is vital to customer satisfaction and our ongoing success," said Bob Cummings, vice president, marketing, ENMAX Energy Corporation.
The award recognizes ENMAX's actions to improve communications and reduce costs through a variety of online services, including forms for self-service activities, online bill-viewing and payment and customer-centric tools such as energy calculators that customers can download from the website at enmax.com. The design and functionality of ENMAX's website and the implementation of a customer registration database enabling customers to receive information and simplify the contracting process were noted as reasons ENMAX was chosen for the award.
"Our website was launched in October 1997 and through it, our goal is to create and support a world-class customer experience," Mr. Cummings said.
The Alberta E-Business Leadership Awards was created to recognize the successful implementation of e-business tools and techniques. The program is managed by E-Strategies International Inc., an innovative business guidance company that helps organizations understand how to expand their business and to take advantage of the Internet and e-business.
