ENMAX Corporation is an active participant in the Environmental Commitment and Responsibility (ECR) program, under the auspices of the Canadian Electricity Association (CEA). The ECR program is a public commitment by member utilities to continually reduce their impact on the environment. This is done by systematically identifying potential environmental impacts of business practices, implementing programs and best management practices to address and mitigate these impacts, and communicating these programs and practices amongst industry partners.
Every year, member utilities submit information and/or reports to CEA based on a standard set of ECR reporting guidelines that focus on the most critical environmental issues for our industry. ENMAX's recent ECR reports demonstrate continual improvement in our environmental management system and in our operational procedures in support of environmental protection and regulatory compliance.

To simplify the ECR Reporting process in 2005, utilities were not be required to submit a full ECR Utility report, and instead were required to only submit the electronic qualitative information relating to each environmental parameters.
