ENMAX currently has a substation and over five kilometers of lines on First Nation reserve land and a number of either proposed and operating facilities on traditional Aboriginal territories. Focused on developing long-term relationships, ENMAX strives to develop mutual understanding, respect and open communication when working with Aboriginal communities. Our commitment to actively build and maintain long-term relationships with Aboriginal communities is based on two fundamental guiding principles – communication and trust. ENMAX is committed to being an excellent corporate neighbour and to consulting with and involving Aboriginal communities in the decision-making processes for our proposed and existing facilities in traditional territories.
