The only way we can continue to have a say on transmission projects in Alberta is to speak out together. That is why we are encouraging you to tell everyone you know about Bill 50 and the consequences it could have on your electricity bill.

I don’t want to pay more for electricity transmission in Alberta than is necessary.

If the government is allowed to pass Bill 50 that is exactly what will happen. Bill 50 allows for important decisions about the future of power transmission in Alberta to be made behind closed doors, without input from the public, or the experts.

The need for multi-billion dollar projects will be quietly approved, and I will be forced to pick up the tab. We're talking an increase of up to $300 a year per residence! Business owners who are also affected will likely be forced to pass these price increases onto consumers.

We cannot let this happen!

That is why I am urging you to voice your concerns to your MLA.
