Mr. McMaster is responsible for the regulated transmission and distribution (wires) businesses, along with regulated market services including metering, meter data management, load settlement, tariffs and billing.  He is also responsible for the non-regulated power services engineering, construction, procurement and maintenance business.

Mr. McMaster has more than 35 years of experience in the utility industry. Prior to joining ENMAX in September 2010, Mr. McMaster held several key positions including Chief Executive Officer at the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO), President of the Transmission Administrator of Alberta, and Chief Operations Officer for the Power Pool of Alberta. He also has consulted with SNC and Acres International on transmission and utility infrastructure.
 
As well, Mr. McMaster has been Chair of the Independent System Operator and Regional Transmission Organization Council, a board member of the Western Electricity Coordinating Council, and a member of the executive steering committee for the North American Electric Reliability Corporation Investigation of the North East Black Out in 2003.
